You can add ads to your projects using the Unity Ads platform. This is an exclusive platform that offers developers the possibility of implementing ads to their Unity-based projects. You need to create an account on the official website and then download the necessary SDK package. This will help you to implement the code into your projects.

Does the Unity Web Player have adware?

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

No, the Web Player doesn't have adware. In fact, the developers have implemented security features that resemble the Sandbox environment. This means the code is not allowed to be tampered with and everything bad that might eventually happen is kept under control in the Sandbox environment. This means you are protected from various threats. The Web Player doesn't have adware.

It says I need some updates when I use Web Player with Chrome. How do I update Unity Web Player?

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

The easiest way to update the player is by downloading the latest version from its official website.

Access the page, download the package, close all your browsers and launch it. This is the safest and easiest way to update he plug-in when you encounter errors. However, if it gives you errors, go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program and uninstall the player completely, then install it.

The Unity Web Player is not compatible with Android because it hasn't been developed for this operating system. You can't install anything to play Facebook games because there is no available plug-in to replace the Unity Web Player.

Can I launch Unity Web Player's plugin for the browser offline?

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

No, you can't launch the Web Player in offline mode, except if you connected to the Internet once to download the necessary files, then you can trigger the Web Player manually. This means you will have to connect to Internet once to download the files, and then you can launch it in offline mode. This is the only way. Additionally, the developer needs to have Offline Deployment checked when he created the project.

Unity Web Player allows you to view, play and interact with content created with the help of Unity engine, which is very popular nowadays. It's something like Adobe Flash Player which is needed to view content created with the help of Adobe Flash.

Can I change the Web Player's settings or is it a one-click program? I have problems with default screen resolutions.

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

Yes, there are settings available to be configured, but you will have to do it through the web. The developers offer a page where you can configure the settings for the Web Player. This way you change the settings for the plug-in installed in that browser. Use the following URL to access the settings menu.
